I just wanted to vent my frustration at only being, say, 75 percent satisfied with the car, and not 100 percent. I know it's not up to you guys to persuade me that I did get a great vehicle after all. The closest would be a Highlander or a 4Runner, but you can't get rid of the 3rd row of seats, which is why I didn't decide on either of those two. Since I researched all the comparable SUVs, I haven't come up with anything I "shoudda" bought instead.

It has an amazing sun roof which, with the windows down, makes you feel like you're driving a convertible. It gets good mileage (but so does the CRV). The seat & back rest has great adjustment features. And there is ample leg space, contrary to the CRV. It does well on gravel and dirt roads, and it is a good commuter car. It has heated seats which is a nice addition. On the upside, it does turn on a dime, and is totally steady on slick roads.

  • And the car stalls when you make a sharp right turn, and the dealer claims that "they all do that." BS.
  • It looks like all the other aerodynamic "bubble" cars on the road right now.
  • I want to read the condition of the car at all times, not just when it's about to fail!
  • The stats and safety features only come on the screen when there's something wrong.
  • The lighted panel is red! Supposedly easier on the eyes, but I find it a huge distraction in the dark.
  • The music sounds tinny and everybody speaks with a lisp.
  • There is no enclosed space for "junk," other than the space under the arm rest in the middle, but that has electronic outlets, so I don't want to put sunglasses, kleenex and lip balmetc.
  • I can't even change the clock! So I leave it stuck on Daylight Saving Time.
  • The entire computer panel is so un-intuitive that I haven't been able to program it (and I'm good at that kind of stuff).
  • And because of the rear window angle you can't stack boxes up and maximize the space.
  • I wanted an SUV with a lot of cargo space for road trips, and it actually has less than the 2005 CRV.
  • (Sorry if my terminology falls short of the expectations of a car connoisseur-I'm no gear head! ) It's been a year now, and I still feel that I made a bad choice.

So I decided on a 2015 Forester, because it had the highest ratings in its class, and it was way more comfortable than the new Honda CRV which would have been an upgrade from our 2005 CRV (which we still have, and I still love it).īut from day 1 I have had buyer's remorse. I spent weeks in this forum last year, bugging everybody about which would be the perfect SUV for commuting, for road trips, for gravel roads, light off-roading, and for just hauling stuff.
